Obverse description Retrograde Latin inscription LAT ISON arranged in two lines between a pair of plain horizontal dividing lines, overlying a vertical wreath motif. A pellet-in-diamond device is centred between the two halves of the divided legend. The four quarters of the field are each adorned with a ring of pellets, lending the design a structured, geometrically balanced character typical of late Corieltauvian coinage.
