Obverse description Devoid of figurative portraiture in the Celtic abstract tradition, the obverse features three back-to-back outline crescents arranged symmetrically around a central pellet, their points directed outward. A single pellet is placed within each cusp of the crescent forms. The entire composition is enclosed by six curved arcs, each bearing a triad or diamond arrangement of pellets within its cusp, creating a highly stylised and geometric field design characteristic of Iceni coinage.
