| Obverse description | Stylised, heavily abstracted head of Apollo facing right in the Celtic artistic tradition, derived ultimately from Macedonian prototypes. The wreath is rendered with leaves oriented inwards and accompanied by crescents. A prominent spike projects from the design, with a single crescent element attached; a pellet occupies the angle formed between the spike and the crescent. The overall treatment reflects the progressive geometric abstraction characteristic of late Iron Age British coinage. |

| Reverse description | A lunate horse depicted striding left, rendered in the distinctive linear Celtic style. Above the horse, a rectangular box enclosing four pellets serves as the so-called domino motif, a diagnostic feature of this type. Beneath the horse, a four-armed spiral, typically executed in an anticlockwise direction, occupies the lower field. The composition reflects the sophisticated geometric ornamentation associated with Corieltauvian stater coinage. |
