| Obverse description | Stylised ear of barley or wheat occupying the central field, rendered in the characteristic Celtic abstract manner with a vertical stalk dividing globular grains arranged symmetrically on either side, flanked by radiating lines suggesting the husk or leaves of the ear. The legend CA-MV appears divided across the left and right fields respectively, referencing the mint of Camulodunum. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, with the gold plating partially worn to reveal the bronze core beneath, consistent with a contemporary counterfeit of reduced intrinsic value. |

| Reverse description | A schematically rendered horse advancing to the left, depicted in the characteristic Late Celtic artistic style with elongated, disjointed limbs and a prominent globular body. Above the horse, a stylised charioteer or driver figure is visible, along with additional abstract elements in the upper field. The legend CVNO is inscribed in the lower exergual panel, divided by a horizontal line, identifying the issuing king Cunobelin. The overall design is crudely executed relative to the official prototype, consistent with contemporary counterfeit production on a base metal core with gold wash. |
