Reverse description A voided outline cross formed by double incised lines divides the reverse field into four quadrants, consistent with the Clacton Cross type of the British Late Iron Age coinage tradition. A central pellet is placed at the intersection of the cross arms. Each of the four angles contains a pellet-within-pellet arc arrangement, typical of this die series. The execution is characteristic of a contemporary counterfeit, with slightly irregular line work and variable relief resulting from the degraded die or improvised manufacture.
