Reverse description A full-length frontal figure of Saint John the Baptist stands in the central field, nimbed and bearded, robed in a long garment with finely engraved drapery folds. His right hand is raised in benediction and his left arm is extended at his side in the manner typical of florin-derivative coinage. The figure is set within a beaded inner circle, surrounded by a circular Latin legend in uncial script along the outer border, the entire composition closely modelled on the Florentine florin type.
