| Obverse description | The Genoese castle gateway (porta) depicted in three-quarter relief, set within a quadrilobe frame with cusped lobes. The turreted gate features three arched openings at its base and is rendered in a stylized Gothic manner characteristic of Genoese medieval coinage. A circular beaded border surrounds the polylobe, with the uncial Latin legend distributed around the outer field, punctuated by stars and a trefoil stop. |
