Obverse description Standing figure of the Count of Savoy in full armour, facing front, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The figure bears a shield charged with the cross of Savoy and is flanked by two rampant lions supporting a crested helm above. The field displays Gothic heraldic styling typical of late 14th-century Savoyard coinage. A peripheral legend in uncial Latin characters surrounds the central device, separated from the inner circle by a series of small ornamental stops.
