Reverse description A floriated cross pattée with fleurs-de-lis terminals occupies the entire field, its four arms richly decorated in the Gothic style. In each of the four angles formed by the cross arms stands a crowned ermine spot, the heraldic symbol of Brittany. A small central annulet or rosette marks the intersection of the cross. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, and the circumferential legend in Gothic uncial letters runs clockwise around the outer border. The mint mark letter appears within the legend.
