| Reverse description | Central design features a floriated cross composed of four double-curved, heart-shaped arms terminating in fleurs-de-lis, forming an elaborate anilée and fleurdelisée cross — characteristic of the écu au soleil type of Henry IV. The mint workshop letter appears at the center of the cross within the interlaced design. The surrounding circular Latin legend, separated by a beaded inner border, carries the religious motto and the date. The execution is typical of hammered French royal gold coinage, with slightly uneven strike pressure across the flan. |
