(Translation: Henry II, by God`s grace, king of Navarre and lord of Bearn.)
Reverse description Central field bearing a quartered royal coat of arms surmounted by an open crown with floral finials, the shield divided into four quarters: the first and fourth quarters displaying the chains of Navarre, the second quarter bearing two bulls passant representing Béarn, and the third quarter charged with fleurs-de-lis of France. The crowned shield occupies the majority of the reverse field. The circumferential Latin legend GRATIA DEI SVM QD SVM with the date 1575 runs around the periphery in capital letters, separated by pellet stops, on a hammered flan with a milled or rope border.
