Reverse description The reverse features a six-line Latin inscription contained within a plain rectangular cartouche or tablet, the text reading MO · ORD / PROVIN / FOE · DER / BELG · AD / LEG · IMP across five lines. The tablet is flanked on both sides by elaborate scrolling foliate or cartouche ornaments in baroque style, and similar decorative scroll motifs appear above and below the central tablet. The entire design is enclosed within a milled dentilated border. The abbreviated legend translates as 'Coin of the States of the Federated Belgian Provinces according to Imperial Law.'
