Obverse description Draped bust of a female deity facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with elaborately waved and braided hair swept back from the forehead. The effigy is executed in high relief with naturalistic facial features including a delicate profile, almond-shaped eye, and softly modeled cheek and chin. The numeral denoting the denomination appears in the field to the left behind the head. The flan is characteristically irregular in outline, as typical of Populonian hammered gold coinage of this series.
