Obverse description Draped female head facing right, rendered in archaic Etruscan style with fine parallel striations delineating the hair. The effigy is adorned with a helmet or close-fitting headdress, with facial features rendered in low relief. To the left of the portrait, the denomination mark XXV appears in the field, accompanied by a six-pointed star below, serving as a value indicator characteristic of Populonian gold coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, typical of the hammered production technique employed at the Populonia mint.
