| Obverse description | Highly stylised and abstracted rendition of the head of Apollo facing right, derived ultimately from Macedonian gold stater prototypes. The original laureate wreath motif has been deconstructed into a series of flowing curvilinear lines, pellets, and comma-shaped bosses that fill the field. The facial features are implied rather than depicted, dissolved into the abstract Celtic design vocabulary, with concentric ring elements suggesting the eye within the overall decorative composition. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-struck Celtic gold coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | A stylised triple-tailed horse prances to the right, its body rendered in the characteristic abstract Celtic manner with segmented limbs and a disjointed torso. Each of the three tails terminates in a prominent pellet, a diagnostic feature of this type. A spoked wheel motif is placed both above and below the horse, serving as the key identifying symbol of the East Wiltshire Double Wheel series. The field is otherwise uncluttered, and no inscriptions are present, consistent with pre-Belgic uninscribed Celtic coinage of southern Britain. |
