Reverse description The central device features the imperial German crown above a Gothic cipher W (for Kaiser Wilhelm II) flanked by Roman numerals I on each side, forming the monogram WII, all surmounted by the crown with flowing ribbons to either side. Below the cipher, two crossed swords — one with straight quillons, one with S-shaped quillons — are depicted in relief. The circumferential legend reads DEN SIEGREICHEN STREITERN.
