Obverse description Obverse bears a multi-line Arabic legend filling the field, reading 'Ahmad Shah bin Ahmad Shah al-Bahamani', identifying the ruler as Ahmad Shah, son of Ahmad Shah of the Bahmani dynasty. The inscription is rendered in a bold, somewhat informal Naskh-style script typical of Bahmani copper coinage. Letters are arranged in stacked horizontal lines across the coin's surface. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hammered copper issues of the period. No border or decorative elements frame the legend.
