Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Henri IV facing right, wearing a small flat collar, with a mint workshop letter positioned beneath the effigy. The bust is rendered in the mannerist portrait style characteristic of late 16th-century French royal coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust, reading the king's full royal title as sovereign of France and Navarre.
