| Reverse description | An elaborate floriated triple cross occupies the center, with alternating lions and crowns in the four angles, all enclosed within a quadrilobe whose cusps bear projecting points between the lobes. Eight trefoils adorn the exterior angles of the quadrilobe, enriching the overall Gothic decorative scheme. The composition is symmetrical and typical of the fleur-de-lis cross reverses found on contemporary French-influenced gold coinage of the Low Countries. |
