| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a bold tribal tamga device enclosed within a linear circle. The tamga, characteristic of the Golden Horde 'Ornamental type' fractional coinage, is rendered in raised relief on an irregular flan. The design is entirely anepigraphic, with no surrounding legend or mint inscription. The flan is notably small and irregular, consistent with the crudely hammered fractional dirhams of the Bulghar mint of this period. |
