Obverse description Irregular flan of hammered gold displaying multiple horizontal lines of Arabic Kufic script arranged in three or four registers across the central field, without a defined border. The inscription occupies the majority of the coin surface and references the ruler or religious formula. The lettering is bold and angular, characteristic of early 11th-century Taifa coinage from the Iberian Peninsula. The surface shows natural die-struck texture with slight metal flow at the irregular edges.
