Obverse lettering GAL VAL MAXIMIANVS NOB CAES
(Translation: Galerius Valerius Maximianus Noble Caesar.)
Reverse description Central field bearing the votive inscription VOT X arranged in two lines, with the officina mark FK appearing below, all enclosed within a laurel wreath. The vow inscription commemorates Galerius's decennial vows — the ten-year anniversary of his reign as Caesar. The wreath is tied at the base and frames the legend neatly, with no exergue line visible. The reverse is stark and epigraphic in character, typical of late third- and early fourth-century Tetrarchic fractional bronzes from the Carthage mint. The officina mark FK identifies the specific workshop responsible for the coin's production.
