Obverse description Four overlapping busts in high relief facing right, representing four generations of the Wittelsbach dynasty: Prince Regent Luitpold (age 90), King Ludwig III (age 66), Crown Prince Rupprecht (age 42), and young Prince Luitpold (age 10). A heraldic coat of arms flanked by roses appears in the lower right field, with the engraver's monogram K.G. visible at lower left. The legend naming each figure with their age runs along the top and right border, with the date A.D. MCMXI in Roman numerals along the lower border.
