| Obverse description | Right-facing draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Jovian, adorned with a pearl diadem, rendered in the late Roman imperial portrait style. The effigy displays the emperor in military attire with the characteristic beaded diadem denoting imperial authority. The circumferential legend is inscribed in Latin capitals around the bust within the coin's field. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, consistent with hammered late antique production. Surface patination is dark green-brown with areas of metal luster visible through natural wear. |
