| Obverse description | Helmeted and mantled bust of Roma facing left, rendered in the debased barbarous imitative style characteristic of unofficial provincial production. The helmet is crested and adorned with a prominent plume, while the mantle drapes loosely over the shoulder. The facial features are crudely struck with simplified, schematic modeling reflecting the hand of an unofficial die-cutter. A partial and garbled legend surrounds the bust in the field, attempting to reproduce the prototype inscription. The overall execution displays the characteristic degeneration of lettering and portraiture associated with barbarous radiates and their Constantinian-era successors. |
