Obverse description Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Honorius facing right, rendered in the late antique imperial style typical of the Theodosian period. The emperor's hair is elaborately dressed with a row of pearls forming the diadem across the brow. A six-pointed star appears prominently in the left field behind the bust, serving as a distinguishing control mark. The portrait is framed by the encircling Latin legend, with the obverse die showing characteristic workmanship of the Cyzicus mint.
