Obverse description Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Galerius facing right, depicted with imperial dignity. The laureate wreath is rendered in fine detail, with the legend encircling the portrait along the outer rim of the flan. The bust presents the emperor in military dress, consistent with Tetrarchic portraiture conventions. The surface shows typical patination and flan irregularities characteristic of late Diocletianic and early post-Tetrarchic bronze coinage.
