| Reverse description | The Genius of the Roman People (Genius Populi Romani) stands in contrapposto facing left, wearing a modius on his head and a chlamys draped over his left shoulder falling low. In his right hand he holds a patera from which liquid flows downward in a libation gesture, while his left hand supports a cornucopiae. The reverse legend is divided on either side of the figure, with the mintmark TSB appearing in the exergue, identifying the second officina of the Thessalonica mint. The composition follows the standardized Tetrarchic Genius type introduced following Diocletian's monetary reform. |
