Obverse description Bare-headed, pearl-diademed bust of Constantius II facing right, depicted with characteristic late Roman portraiture of the Constantinian period. The effigy shows the emperor in profile with the pearl diadem — a hallmark of fourth-century imperial coinage — encircling the head. The circumferential Latin legend DN CONSTANTIVS PF AVG (Dominus Noster Constantius Pius Felix Augustus) runs around the bust. The flan is small and somewhat irregular, consistent with the reduced AE3/4 module of this series.
