Reverse description Two helmeted soldiers standing facing one another, each holding a grounded spear in the outer hand and resting the inner hand upon a shield; between them stands a legionary standard surmounted by a banner bearing the Chi-Rho (Christogram) symbol. An additional slanted crossbar appears on the standard, interpreted in numismatic scholarship as a consecration symbol referencing the death of Constantine I. The mint mark appears in the exergue, identifying the Lugdunum mint and officina. The reverse legend encircles the scene along the periphery.
