Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constantinus II facing right, depicted in the imperial military style typical of the Constantinian dynasty. The emperor's portrait shows a diademed head with rosette decoration, rendered in low relief. The obverse legend CONSTANTI-NVS P F AVG (Constantinus Pius Felix Augustus) runs around the periphery of the flan. The portrait conveys the idealized, somewhat youthful features characteristic of Constantinian coinage from the Thessalonica mint.
