| Obverse description | Central field occupied by multiple horizontal lines of pseudo-Kufic legend-imitation, arranged in a rectangular panel and enclosed within a beaded inner border. The decorative script, derived from Arabic Kufic prototypes, is entirely illegible and serves a purely ornamental function. A circular band of further pseudo-Kufic imitation legend surrounds the central panel, framed by a plain outer rim. The overall design reflects the strong Byzantine and Islamic artistic influence prevalent on Hungarian coinage of the late 12th century. |

| Reverse description | Central field bearing multiple horizontal lines of pseudo-Kufic legend-imitation within a rectangular panel, closely mirroring the obverse design. Below the central inscription panel, a distinguishing letter group appears — rendered as 'JOJ', 'IOI', or 'I I' depending on the die variety — serving as a differentiating mark between the three known sub-types (CAC I#16.19, 16.20, 16.21). The central panel is enclosed within a beaded border, itself surrounded by a circular band of further pseudo-Kufic ornamental script. The coin's reverse, like the obverse, reflects the imitative Kufic tradition adopted during the reign of Béla III. |
