| Obverse description | Two enthroned kings depicted facing front, identified by the legend as King Béla and Saint István (Stephen), seated side by side on a shared throne. Between the two figures rises an elongated cross, flanked by additional gothic-style crosses in the field. The composition is rendered in the Byzantine-influenced Romanesque style characteristic of the Hungarian royal coinage of the twelfth century. The surrounding legend in uncial Latin characters names both rulers. The overall design is bold and schematic, with minimal fine detail due to the hammered copper fabric. |

| Reverse description | The Virgin Mary (Madonna) depicted seated facing, shown in a hieratic frontal pose consistent with Byzantine iconographic tradition. She is shown with a partial mandorla or glory surrounding her figure, and holds either a scepter or the Christ Child in her arms, with variants known for both. The field surrounding the figure carries the Latin legend SANCTA MARIA. The artistic treatment is schematic and bold, typical of the hammered copper coinage of King Béla III of Hungary. |
