| Obverse description | Facing bust of Christ nimbed, depicted frontally in the Byzantine tradition, with the nimbus clearly rendered around the head. The figure is shown in a stylized, somewhat crude provincial style typical of Crusader-period copper coinage. Christogram initials IC-XC are placed in the left and right fields respectively, flanking the bust. The overall design reflects strong Byzantine iconographic influence adapted by the Crusader mints of Antioch. |

| Reverse description | A large cross pattée or floriated cross occupies the center of the field, with decorative floral or foliate elements at the base of the vertical stem, a distinctive feature of this third type. The legend TANK / PH, an abbreviated reference to the regent Tancred, is distributed across the four quarters formed by the arms of the cross. The lettering is rendered in a rough, provincial style consistent with hammered copper coinage of the Crusader states. The overall design is characteristic of the Antiochene follis series attributed to Tancred's regency. |
