Obverse description Facing bust of Christ nimbed, depicted frontally in the Byzantine tradition, with the nimbus clearly rendered around the head. The figure is shown in a stylized, somewhat crude provincial style typical of Crusader-period copper coinage. Christogram initials IC-XC are placed in the left and right fields respectively, flanking the bust. The overall design reflects strong Byzantine iconographic influence adapted by the Crusader mints of Antioch.
