Obverse description Right-facing bust of Emperor Arcadius, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed, rendered in the late Roman imperial style typical of the Theodosian period. The obverse legend encircles the effigy in Latin capitals. The portrait displays the characteristic stylized features of late antique coinage, with visible paludamentum folds at the shoulder.
