Obverse description Enthroned Madonna seated facing, holding the Christ Child in her right arm, set upon a crescent; flanked on either side by a Renaissance-style decorative pillar. The dynastic Jagiellonian eagle of Poland is depicted below in the field. The design reflects the late Gothic to early Renaissance artistic tradition prevalent in Hungarian royal coinage of the period.
