(Translation: Ulászló, King of Hungary)
Reverse description Saint László (Ladislaus), the royal patron saint of Hungary, depicted standing full-length facing the viewer, crowned and robed in royal garments with a halberd or battle-axe in his right hand and an orb in his left. The mintmaster's mark appears on either side of the figure in the field, dividing the legend. The saint stands on a plain ground line, rendered in the characteristic linear hammered style of late medieval Hungarian gold coinage. A beaded inner circle surrounds the design, with the dedicatory legend arranged around the periphery.
