Reverse description A large, boldly rendered fleur-de-lis occupies the central field, its three petals rising prominently in high relief with finely detailed interior engraving, in direct imitation of the Florentine florin type. A small heraldic device, possibly a royal emblem, appears at the top petal. The circumferential Latin legend ARAGO REX P encircles the design, identifying Peter (Pere IV) as King of Aragon, and is separated from the inner field on the irregular hammered flan.
