| Obverse description | Full-length frontal figure of Saint John the Baptist standing in the field, draped in a long robe with fine vertical folds, his right hand raised in blessing and his left hand holding a cross-staff. A nimbus or halo is visible above the head. The figure is rendered in the Gothic style typical of Aragonese florins of the 14th century. The surrounding legend reads S IOHANNES B, partially legible due to the irregular flan and wear. |
