Obverse description Full-length frontal figure of Saint John the Baptist standing in the field, depicted in long robes with detailed drapery folds, his right hand raised in blessing and his left holding a staff or cross. The saint's head is surrounded by a nimbus, rendered in the Gothic style characteristic of late medieval Aragonese gold coinage. A circular Latin legend runs around the periphery of the coin, partially obscured by the irregular flan.
