Obverse description A large fleur-de-lis occupies the central field, rendered in high relief and closely imitating the lily device of the Florentine florin. The stylized bloom rises from a hatched base panel, its three petals fanning outward with characteristic Gothic articulation. Two small heraldic devices or lis-heads flank the upper portion of the stem, and a dotted inner border frames the design. The surrounding circular legend in Gothic characters reads the county attribution, separated by a cross pattée at the beginning.
