Obverse description Full-length figure of St. Peter standing facing, holding a book in his left hand and a large key in his right hand; at the level of the knees, a shield bearing the arms of Bavaria. The legend is contained between an inner circle decorated with a net pattern and an outer pearled circle, with the figure of the saint bisecting both the legend and the inner border above and below.

Reverse description Within a quadrilobe with double ribs, a quarterly coat of arms of Bavaria-Palatinate; surrounding the central shield are four subsidiary shields disposed in the angles: at the top an imperial eagle rendered in the style of the Mainz wheel, to the right the arms of the Palatinate, to the left those of Bavaria, and at the bottom those of Luxembourg. The entire composition is enclosed by a legend running between two pearled circles.
