| Obverse description | Stylized elephant depicted in right profile, rendered in the compact, schematic manner characteristic of South Indian fanam coinage. The elephant occupies the central field and is enclosed within a beaded circle. An inscription in Kannada or Persian appears above the figure. The entire design is framed by an outer border of pellets forming a wreath-like ring around the circumference of the small flan. |
