Obverse description Central field dominated by a striding lion passant to the left in high relief, its tail arching gracefully over its back, rendered in the distinctive Safavid artistic tradition. A solar disc or radiant element rises behind the lion's back, a classic emblem of Safavid royal iconography. The lower field is decorated with a spray of stylized floral or foliate motifs, suggesting a naturalistic ground line. An Arabic inscription in nasta'liq script appears above the lion across the upper field. The entire design is enclosed within a dotted border running along the coin's periphery.
