| Additional information |
Balkh's copper falus coinage under Sher Ali Khan circulated during one of the most unstable periods in Afghan history — his reign was twice interrupted by civil war, with Abdur Rahman and other rivals seizing Kabul and forcing him into exile before he recovered control. The Balkh mint operated under shifting allegiances throughout, and attribution of specific strikes to particular years within this window remains difficult.
