Obverse description Crude hammered copper flan with deeply struck Arabic inscription occupying the central field. The legend reads 'Sher Ali' (شير على) in stylized Naskh script, with strokes radiating across the irregular coin surface. The lettering is bold but shows characteristic distortion associated with hand-struck provincial coinage. The field exhibits pronounced surface porosity, green cuprite patina, and die-shift typical of Balkh mint production of the period.
