Obverse description Central field dominated by the imperial Iranian lion passant left, recumbent, bearing a sword, set against a radiant rising sun with stylized rays emanating from behind the lion's body — the Shir o Khorshid emblem of Qajar Iran. The device is framed by a decorative floral spray border encircling the central motif. The AH date is inscribed in the lower field beneath the lion. The overall design is executed in low relief characteristic of Qajar-era copper coinage.
