Obverse description Central field dominated by the Seal of Solomon (khatim Sulayman), a six-pointed star formed by two interlocking triangles in low relief, characteristic of Moroccan Sharifian coinage of the period. A small central boss marks the intersection of the overlapping triangles. The design is rendered in a bold, somewhat crude cast style typical of Alaouite dynasty falus production, with the irregular flan edge reflecting the hand-casting technique employed at Moroccan mints of this era.
