| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a group of bold vertical strokes arranged upright, rendered in the stylized Bijapur hammered tradition. Arabic legend occupying the field reads 'gulam-i-murtaza' (slave of Murtaza), executed in a broad, angular hand characteristic of Deccan Sultanate copper coinage. The inscription is enclosed within a scalloped inner border composed of small pellets following the coin's irregular flan. The overall design is bold and primitive in execution, consistent with the low-denomination copper issues of Ibrahim Adil Shah II's reign. |
