| Reverse description | Broadly rectangular hammered flan bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription in bold nasta'liq script occupying the full field, reading 'فلوس ضرب خوی' (Falus, struck at Khoy). The legend is arranged in three lines across the flan, the characters deeply and vigorously struck, with the characteristic cursive flourishes of provincial Persian die-cutting. The flat field shows no border ornament, with the worn edges of the flan leaving portions of the inscription partially incomplete, consistent with the irregular planchet preparation typical of anonymous local copper issues of northwestern Iran. |
