Reverse description Epigraphic reverse displaying a multi-line legend in Naskh-style Arabic script occupying the full face of the flan. The inscription reads 'Hazrat Delhi', identifying the royal mint city of Delhi as the place of issue and conferring upon it the honorific title 'Hazrat' denoting eminence. The legend is struck in bold relief against a flat, undecorated field, with no border, ornament, or subsidiary device present. This austere epigraphic composition is wholly consistent with the standard reverse type of Tughluq copper falus attributed to the reign of Firuz Shah. The irregular outline of the flan is characteristic of the hammered coinage fabric employed throughout this series.
